New Delhi : The Delhi High Court Thursday allowed a suspected Indian Mujahideen suspect, allegedly involved in the Sep 13 Delhi serial bombings, to appear for his MBA exams from jail premises here.
Justice Reva Khetrapal asked the jail authorities and Sikkim Manipal University to make proper arrangement for accused Saquib Nisar so that he could appear in the MBA third semester examinations.
The court, however, refused to grant him interim bail.
Nisar, who has been in custody since Sep 20, had approached the court as his examinations were scheduled to start Feb 7.
The police have already filed a chargesheet against Nisar and other accused – Mohammed Saif, Zeeshan Ahmed, Zia-ur-Rehman and Mohammed Shakeel in the serial blasts.
They have been accused of murder, attempt to murder and waging war against the nation amongst other offences under the Indian Penal Code, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosive Substances Act.
According to the police, all the accused who have been named in the chargesheet were also involved in the serial bombings in Jaipur and Ahmedabad.
