The employees of P.S. Seth and Sons reached here Thursday from Amritsar in Punjab to deliver two-and-a-half kg of jewellery, including 135 gold bangles, to a client here.

“On reaching the client’s flat, the employees Omkar Chand and Om Parkash were offered juice and fell unconscious. They regained consciousness and found themselves tied with ropes and locked inside the house late Thursday evening. All the jewellery was missing,” Superintendent of Police Sandeep Khirwar told IANS.

He said the four accused took the flat on rent from a property dealer a week ago from a property dealer. There were only three-four chairs inside the flat.

“The owner of the jewellery shop in Amritsar told us that he struck the deal over phone with Ashish who wanted to start his jewellery business. He never met him,” he added.
