“Now that the UPA government is nearing its term in a few months, it can be conclusively stated that the National Highway Development Programme, started by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government to improve a very crucial component of infrastructure development, has been completely derailed by the UPA government,” BJP spokesperson Ravi Shanker Prasad said.

The annual report on various projects and corridor reflect the lethargic attitude of the UPA towards it and it is also quite evident by the slow pace of the project, he added.

“The report on the Golden Quadrilateral mentioned that out of the 5,846 km, only 4,203 km has been completed,” Prasad said.
