Ghaziabad : A Dalit woman was dragged out of her home here and gangraped by seven men, the police said. Two accused in the case have been arrested.
The incident occurred in Pratap Vihar locality under Vijay Nagar police station in Ghaziabad late Thursday night, the police said.
Seven men barged into the woman’s house and dragged her out and, taking her to an abandoned area in Pratap Vihar, raped her.
The victim, in the wee hours Friday managed to escape and reached the Vijay Nagar police station. A case was lodged and the police have been able to identify four accused as Pankaj Sharma, a Home Guard, Manoj Kumar, Usman and Babloo.
“A case has been registered and Sharma, Kumar and Usman have been arrested,” a police officer said.
