Four thieves arrested, 13 cases solved: Police

New Delhi : Four men were arrested for a string of robberies including in houses of Delhi Police and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials, police said here Monday.

Police said Rahul, Ashu Malik, Rajesh and Firoj Khan were arrested from a bus stop near a park in south Delhi while they were planning to loot a petrol pump last week.

“During interrogation, the accused said they committed a series of burglaries and snatchings in Sarojini Nagar and its surroundings areas including houses of senior CBI, Delhi Police and other government officials,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (south Delhi) H.G.S. Dhaliwal said.

The police claimed that 13 cases have been solved with the arrests. One locally-manufactured pistol, one live cartridge and one button-actuated knife were recovered from them. Some stolen articles were also seized, the police said.
