“There is no other option than a coalition government at the centre following the rising numbers of regional parties in various states and single party rule is impossible in near future in the country,” Naidu told reporters here.

He claimed that the BJP’s Lok Sabha seats tally will be beyond 200 as the party was expecting a stunning performance in about a dozen states having considerable number of constituencies.

“It’s only the BJP that can run a successful coalition government as the Congress has failed to keep the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) ‘united’,” Naidu stated, adding: “The present Manmohan Singh government would be the last Congress government at the centre”.

He alleged that the Congress has lost its credibility and it would be left all alone after the Lok Sabha elections as no party would join the Congress-led alliance.

“Even in Maharashtra, there are all possibilities that the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will walk out of the alliance as he is a strong aspirant for the post of prime minister,” Naidu claimed.
