Vinod Sharma’s son Vikki and Vivek got national ranks of 6,649 and 5,160 respectively in the exam whose result was declared Monday.

While Vikki has taken his ill father to Vellore for treatment, Vivek is busy looking after the shop in the district court premises.

“We all are extremely happy. I just hope my father will get well and return to Ranchi soon. We will celebrate together,” Vivek told IANS.

“Our parents always supported us although we faced financial problems. We were determined to clear the IIT and god helped us in our effort,” he added.

Vivek scored 91 percent marks in the Class 12 exams this years, while his elder brother passed out of school last year.
