Delhi recorded a maximum of 22.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 17 degrees Celsius. A total of 0.2 mm of rainfall was recorded during the day.

Officials said the chilly conditions are likely to continue.

“There will be cloudy skies during the day with possibility of rain and thundershowers. The fog is likely to continue in the coming weekend also,” an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Humidity was in the above-90 percent range, the official added.

According to the IMD, the chill is due to cyclonic rainfall on the southern and western coasts. Snowfall in north Jammu and Kashmir also resulted in the rains in Delhi.

Delhi Thursday recorded the coldest November day in past few years with temperature settling at 22.4 degrees Celsius.
