Speaking on the occasion of pre Kashmir Economic Summit, Australia based industrialist and owner of world’s second largest fertilizer manufacturing unit Vikas Rambal said that KPCC can play pivotal role in economic reconstruction of J&K and state needs investment to create more jobs for unemployed youth. Vikas Rambal, owner of Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilizers, is developing a US$ 2.5 billion urea manufacturing plant at collie, Western Australia.

The Rambal family and Perdaman Industries are proud supporters of the West Australia Cricket Association and in particular Western Warriors Coach Tom Moody. This strong association with the WACA was enhanced in October 2008 with the launch of the Rambal Warriors, the Western Warriors side that was to take part in the inaugural Champions League Twenty 20 tournament in India against some of the world’s best twenty20 provincial teams from India, England, Pakistan and Australia.

Vikas Rambal was here to attend the pre Kashmir Economic Summit meeting held in New Delhi at Park Royal by KPCC organizers of Kashmir Economic Summit on 26th of September 2009. KPCC is trying to get politicians, bureaucrats, civil society and investors on one platform for economic reconstruction of J&K. KPCC was founded by displaced community entrepreneurs and professionals that lifted itself out of the abyss of displacement and painstakingly put itself on the path of economic growth in the twenty years since 1989.

While there are several community brethren who may have been left behind. There are unmistakable signs that the KP has reinvented himself in several ways despite small numbers, Kashmiri displaced community youth have worked hard to integrate and weave themselves into the economic tapestry of the nation. Kashmir Economic Summit will be the occasion to reveal innumerable success stories of this displaced community members who have within a very short time, successfully steered themselves to top positions in many large business conglomerates. Many of them have established successful business enterprises not only in India but in many overseas countries. Community has demonstrated that given a chance they can excel in any field and compete with the best and established.

Meeting was attended by M.K. Bhat owner of Chinar and Bajaj carpets, Anil Moti Owner of Paradigm Leather, Mr V K Topa Advisor to FICCI and Former Addl Secretary General of FICCI and President, Zuari Agro and Chambal Fertilizers, Ravinder Koul V.P.
