New Delhi : India’s Somdev Devvarman Monday returned to the top-100 Association of Tennis Professional’s (ATP) rankings, gaining four places to 99.
Somdev earlier this month had achieved his career-best ranking of 96, becoming the first Indian to be in the top 100 since Leander Paes. However, it turned out to be a shortlived jubilation for Somdev, who dropped 15 rungs to 111th place a week later.
Rohan Bopanna also gained six places to be at 474th place.
In the men’s doubles, Mahesh Bhupathi climbed a rung to seventh place while Leander Paes and Bopanna are unchanged at sixth and 33rd, respectively.
In the women’s singles, Sania Mirza has dropped two places to 155.
