Mumbai : Konkan Railway will run three special Ahmedabad-Madgaon-Ahmedabad trains to meet the festival rush during the 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, an official said Sunday.
“Taking into account heavy rush in trains during Ganpati Festival, we will run a special train Sep 6-17,” said a Konkan Railway spokesperson.
The train (0921A from Ahmedabad to Madgaon and 0922A from Madgaon to Ahmedabad) will halt at Vadodara, Surat, Valsad in Gujarat and Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilawade, Rajapur, Vaibhavwadi, Nandgaon, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi, Pernem, Thivim and Karmali in Maharashtra.
The Ahmedabad-Madgaon train will run on Sep 6, 9 and 16, while the Madgaon-Ahmedabad train will run on Sep 7, 10, 17.
The train will have 15 coaches, comprising eight sleeper coaches, two three-tier air conditioned coaches, one two-tier air conditioned coach, two general coaches and a ladies’ coach.
