Terming the demolition of Babri Masjid a conspiracy hatched by Hindu extremists and not all Hindus Kaleem Kawaja, the head of the AIMA, said: “The demolition of Babri mosque by a set of zealot Hindu extremists who do not represent India’s Hindu community was a stain on the ancient Indian nation whose creed is democracy and secularism and whose motto is “Satyamev Jayate” (Trutrh is always victorious).”

He expressed anguish against the government for not taking action against culprits of Babri demolition in the light of Liberhan Commission report.

“Unfortunately despite the courageous findings of the Liberhan Commission relating to the said mosque demolition, the Indian government has not yet initiated a trial in a court of law of the culprits” he said.

“We urge the Indian government to take legal action against the culprits immediately because it is responsible to raise the bar of justice and human rights for all especially the religious and ethnic minorities in India” he added.
