New Delhi : Experimental traffic diversions in the run-up to the hockey World Cup Friday evening led to chaos and traffic jams for over an hour on all the roads leading to the India Gate.
People were stuck on Akbar Road, Tilak Marg, Copernicus Marg, Ferozshah Road and all other roads that lead to the India Gate or its vicinity.
“It took me one hour to move out of the jam. Police have closed some roads and there is complete chaos everywhere,” said Ram Shankar, a salesman.
