Jammu District Magistrate M.K. Dwivedi set aside the conditional order of forfeiture and suspension of publication of three dailies “Early Times”, “Glimpses of Future” and “The Shadow”, an official statement said.

The district magistrate had suspended their publication for featuring “news which was not based on facts and as a result, misinformation was spread across the state”.

“To avoid breach of communal harmony and as a preventive measure, further publication of these newspapers was suspended,” the release said.

“The owners and editors of these newspapers had approached the court but no relief was granted. They then submitted a written declaration/undertaking to the district magistrate stating that in future, they will remain careful while publishing the news/articles in sensitive situations and will not do anything which can cause any kind of unrest in the society,” it added.
