New Delhi : A 22-member delegation from Australia and Japan, on a mission to explore opportunities for joint venture projects in Asian countries, Wednesday visited the Delhi Metro to get a first hand experience of its operations.
According to a Delhi Metro spokesperson, the delegation also inquired about the ongoing expansion activities of the Metro to explore opportunities in the infrastructure sector.
Officials from the Japanese and Australian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, besides prominent companies, visited Central Secretariat, Chawri Bazar and Patel Chowk Metro stations, he said.
They also met Metro’s Director (Project) Kumar Keshav and discussed its ticketing system, operational profit, electric supply mechanism and the scope of public-private- partnership (PPP) in such projects.
