New Delhi : An Air India (AI) flight from New York with over 200 passengers became the first commercial flight to arrive at the new swanky terminal-3 (T3) of the Indira Gandhi International Airport here Wednesday.
The AI 102, which landed around 4.40 pm, and subsequent eight flights on Wednesday and Thursday, including Airbus A380, are part of a drill to reaffirm the operational readiness of the terminal.
Full fledged services will commence from July 28 after synchronisation between various airport agencies are complete.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had inaugurated the terminal on July 3.
