Surinder Kaur to lead Indian women in Asian Champions Trophy

New Delhi: Surinder Kaur will lead India in the inaugural Asian Women’s Champions Trophy at Busan, South Korea from July 27-31.

The team was was selected after the trials at Bhopal.

China, Japan and hosts South Korea are the other teams competing in the tournament.

The top four teams from the last Asia Cup at Bangkok in November are to play in the event.

India won silver at Bangkok, and qualified for the FIH World Cup to be held at Rosario, Argentina in August-September this year.
