Islamabad : A Pakistani court has ordered the release of two French journalists from custody about 10 days after they were held in northwest Pakistan, Xinhua reported Monday.
Police arrested Francois Lino Candona and Christopher Phillips Beneyre May 28 for travelling to Peshawar city without required documents. They were filming in the Peshawar cantonment area.
Earlier, a lawyer had submitted a bail application on behalf of the two journalists. One of the journalists had applied for Pakistani visa in New Delhi.
