In his inaugural address at the party’s two-day national executive meet, Gadkari said: “In the NDA rule, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi, Bihar has been converted to a ‘jujharu’ (combative) state from a ‘Bimaru’ (sick) state a few years ago.”

The BJP president said that the 11 per cent growth rate in the state is a “new miracle economy” in the country.

Gadkari also accused the previous state governments of embarrassing the people of Bihar with their insensitive and inefficient rule and said that it was for the first time, Bihar has witnessed a government that is functioning and bringing the desired results.

“The bad governance had taken Bihar to a negative growth rate between 5 to 15 percent and from there, the NDA has brought it to a positive 11 percent,” he said.

Gearing up for the assembly polls in Bihar, Gadkari urged the people to “once again repose their confidence in the NDA to make Bihar known internationally for its phenomenal success”.
