New Delhi : It’s official – winter is over in Delhi and summer has set in.
The national capital Tuesday saw a bright and sunny morning with the temperature hovering above average.
Delhi recorded a minimum of 17.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above average for this time of the season.
“The winter season has ended and summer has started in Delhi. The mercury will rise further in the coming days,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.
The Met office has forecast a clear sky with the maximum temperature hovering around 31 degrees Celsius.
On Sunday, Delhi recorded the hottest Feb 28 in four years, with the maximum temperature reaching 31.6 degrees Celsius.
