New Delhi : The Union Home Ministry will digitalise about 12 lakh files and records relating to claims and compensation for displaced persons. (One Lakh: 100,000)
The digitalisation will make the written files available online and in compact disc format for the Ministry officials.
The MHA has set a target of 50,000 files per month for digitalisation and aims to complete the entire process in two years.
The Ministry has already issued a tender for the same along with penalty clauses. It has also made it mandatory for the company, when selected, to have at least 10 or more data operators doing the job.
It said the payment will be made in instalments and linked with the number of data entries completed.
“First instalment will be paid after data entry of one lakh files or records have been completed.
