Nadda met Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal here and submitted his resignation.

“I have submitted my resignation to the chief minister,” he told reporters.

However, Dhumal said: “I have asked Nadda to continue till the conclusion of the budget session (April 13) of the assembly.”

Nadda, who started his political career as a student leader in 1978, said expanding the party’s support base to bring it back to power would be the main priority.
