New Delhi: Opposing the Delhi government decision to withdraw Rs.40 subsidy on each LPG cylinder, the Mahila Congress Tuesday urged Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to reconsider the decision.
“It will increase burden on the people. It will come hard on women. I urge the chief minister to review her decision,” Mahila Congress chief Prabha Thakur told IANS.
Thakur, a Rajya Sabha member, said she has asked the Delhi unit president to meet Dikshit to demand review of the decision to withdraw subsidy on LPG cylinders, as announced in the budget for 2010-11 Monday.
