Blood donation camp organized to help Haj pilgrims

Riyadh: With the aim to provide help to the Haj pilgrims in emergency during this year Haj, Riyadh province of Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaath (TNTJ) in collaboration with King Fahad Medical City (KFMC) organized blood donation camp on 5th Nov.

The camp was organized at KFMC Blood bank in Riyadh where more than 300 donors participated.

Most of the donors were Tamil speaking Muslims who are working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but many people from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Yemen and Saudi also donated their blood for the noble purpose.

This was 10th such blood cams organized by TNTJ wherein almost 120 liters of blood was collected.

Highlighting the purpose of this noble task Engineer Faisal Mohamed, General Secretary of TNTJ Riyadh unit said that the “noble act of donating blood will not only give a new lease of life to many, it also heightens our common sense of social responsibility by serving the humanitarian and social needs of our local communities.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Fathou Al Alem, Chief at KFMC Blood Bank and Mr. Abdul Majeed, Coordinator at KFMC Blood bank lauded the TMTJ for the voluntary service and expressed that indeed such camps created awareness among local people.

TNTJ is an NGO comprising of Tamil speaking Muslims who have been working for the cause of Muslims in India in various ways.
