Chandigarh: Haryana will soon have a 151-km long road corridor running from Rajasthan border to various towns of the state, an official said here Saturday.
According to officials, the Rai Malikpur (Rajasthan border)-Narnaul-Mahendragarh-Dadri-Bhiwani-Kharak road corridor will be constructed at a cost of Rs.1201.70 crore through Public-Private Partnership mode.
“The corridor would be developed on Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis. The bidding process for selection of private entity or government owned entity, to award the project, has already been started,” said an official spokesperson of the Public Works Department, Haryana.
“We would pre-qualify eligible applicants for participation in the biding stage of the selection process. Selected bidder would be responsible for designing, engineering, financing, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of the project in a time-bound manner,” he added.
