The main race was between Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and CM candidate of RJD-LJP alliance Lalu Prasad when the duo was seen visiting Eidgahs, Khanqahs, Urdu press offices and residence of Urdu editors to greet people on Eid.

Nitish himself visited 19 places in Patna on the day of Eid. He started the race from Gandhi Maidan where city’s largest Eid congregation is held. Then he visited all major Khanqahs in the city seeking blessings from sajjada nasheen. In Phulwarishareef he was at Khanqah Mujibiyah besides the head office of Imarat Shariah in the same locality where he met Ameer Shariat Maulana Syed Nizamuddin. In Patna City area the CM visited Khanqah Munamiah Mittan Ghat, Khanqah Emadia Mangal Talab and Khanqah Bargahe Ishq, Takiya Shareef.

The CM took out time to visit the residence of some Urdu Editors and their offices. He greeted Eid to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara business advisor Nayyar Khursheed and Qaumi Tanzeem Editor Ashraf Fareed at their homes. He also visited the office of Pindar Urdu daily. He was also seen attending an Eid Milan program organized by Bihar Urdu Forum at Anjuman Islamia Hall.

RJD supremo and CM candidate of RJD-LJP alliance Lalu Prasad was not behind. In fact he made it that he visits almost all places visited by the CM. Lalu also visited all known Khanqahs in the city besides the Imarat Shariah. He was also at Qaumi Tanzeem and Pindar.

The hosts at these places must have received both the leaders well keeping aside their political affiliation but such gestures by political bosses must be confusing for common Muslims when elections are round the corner.
