New Delhi : With Anna Hazare and the government failing to reach an agreement on a venue for his fast, the social activist will continue to remain inside the Tihar Jail, an aide of Hazare said Wednesday.
“Anna Hazare-ji has decided to stay in Tihar Jail as long as his demand of unconditional fast is not agreed upon,” said Manish Sisodia, a close aide of Hazare who had been lodged in the Tihar Jail and freed later Tuesday.
Explaining the government’s proposal on a venue, Sisodia said: “They have proposed to allow us to hold fast for five days at Ramlila Ground while we are demanding at least one month.”
“Talks are still on and we will not agree to any conditions imposed on us,” he added.
Hazare has refused to leave the jail in spite of being released Tuesday evening. He was arrested ahead of his indefinite fast to demand a stiff anti-graft law.
