Two NATO tankers torched in Pakistan

Islamabad : Two NATO oil tankers were destroyed in a fire in southwest Pakistan after gunmen opened fire at the vehicles, a media report said.

The tankers caught fire when motorcycle-borne gunmen started firing at the vehicles near Mithri in Bolan district, Daily Times reported.

The vehicles were on their way from Karachi to Kandahar, and were carrying fuel for NATO forces in Afghanistan.

The assailants managed to escape.
