In its report, the Vigilance Cell held guilty 22 officials including Deputy Commissioner for misappropriation of such Govt. fund and suggested to register criminal case against them. The case against them is under trial in Special Judge Court at Guwahati.

During his work against corruption, Mr. Choudhury was harassed by musclemen and also by police with false cases under direction of political leaders.
