New Delhi : Former Nasscom president Kiran Karnik has joined venture capital funds-backed Attero Recycling, an electronic waste management firm, as its first independent director.
“I am excited to join Attero. This organisation is innovative and has many exciting plans on the anvil. It has grown consistently over the past years and I am looking forward to working with the management team to help Attero consolidate its leadership position in this space,” Karnik said in a statement.
Karnik’s addition has increased the number of directors on Attero’s board to six. Founded in 2008, Attero Recycling is an end-to-end e-waste management solution provider.
“The expansion of Attero’s board of directors will ensure that the company will continue to gain from the diversity of expertise and opinions,” said Nitin Gupta, CEO of Attero Recycling.
Karnik, who was president of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) till 2008, was appointed chairman of Satyam Computers by the government in 2009 after the company’s founder B.Ramalinga Raju confessed to huge financial irregularities.
