New Delhi: Jamia Engineering Alumni Association (JEAA) organized Silver Jubilee programs on completion of 25 years of Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. The Faculty was established in 1985 with initially three branches of engineering viz Civil, Mechanical & Electrical.
The Silver Jubilee programs were organized under the banner of “Youth Entrepreneurship” on 24th & 25th December 2010 at Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi and Dr M A Ansari Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia, respectively.
The JEAA Conclave was inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit while Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia Najeeb Jung delivered the presidential address. Key Note Speech was delivered by Akhil Gupta, MD, Black Stone India.
The conclave assembled industry veterans and government officials, its alumni from all over the world as well as present sets of students and faculties. On the occasion, dignitaries from 17 countries including US, Canada, Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia also visited Jamia Millia Islamia.
On the occasion, JEAA board announced establishment of five annual scholarships which should be distributed amongst the toppers of each branch of Engineering. It also announced to start a mentorship program for current students of Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
