“Terrorism in India began from Punjab and was managed by the neighbouring country,” he told reporters at a media event here.

Emphasising on tolerance for terrorism, Advani said that people to people contact between two countries is all right, but there should be zero tolerance for terrorism from across the border.

“Terrorism and dialogue should not be linked. We should insist that there would be dialogue only if terror infrastructure is dismantled,” the BJP leader said.

On the alleged bribery scandal as published by WikiLeaks, Advani said: “We say, accept facts in the cable as true.”

Advani interacted with reporters here at “Face-The-Press”, a joint initiative of the Press Club of Mumbai, Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Government Watch (GW), that addresses issues of national interest by organising meetings and debates with politicians, journalists, economists and activists.

Senior journalists like Kumar Ketkar from Dainik Bhaskar Group, N. Ram, the editor-in-chief of The Hindu, and Uday Shankar, chief executive of Star India, took part in the programme.
