New Delhi : President Pratibha Patil Wednesday greeted the nation on the occasion of Guru Nanak jayanti, the birthday of Sikhism’s founder Guru Nanak, which will be celebrated Thursday.
“On the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Guru Nanak Devji, I extend my greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens,” the president said in a statement.
“May all of us strive to practise the revered Guru’s noble teachings in our daily lives and strengthen the bonds of unity and oneness in our society,” she added.
