HWF felicitates 100 meritorious students of Gaya, Bihar

Patna: Going ahead with its mission to encourage the meritorious Muslim students for better performance in the examination and in their career, Human Welfare Foundation (HWF) awarded 100 students of Gaya, Bihar in an ‘Award For Academic Excellence-2011’ programme held at Shatabdi Public School, Gaya on 26th November, 2011.

Each student was given award, mementos and cash prize at the program which was presided over by Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umri, Patron of HWF and National President of Jamaat Islami Hind.

HWF is a national NGO working for the educational, economic and social upliftment of the minority community. It has started awarding meritorious students with Award for Academic Excellence in 2009 in which it organised such programme in four states of India and. This year it has been organising the award programmes in 15 different places of the country.

Besides Award for Academic Excellence Programme, Human Welfare Foundation also gives scholarship to poor Muslim students helping them to get higher studies.

The program was attended by many dignitaries including Dr. Shreekant Sharma, Principal, Gaya College, Gaya, Mr. M.A. Kazmi, Retd. Inspector General, Mr. Masood Manzar, Advocate, President, Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya, Dr. Farasat Hussain, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr. Sartaj Ali Khan, Senior Advocate, Janab Shamimul Haque Sb, Educationist, Gaya, Prof. Arun Kumar Prasad, Vice-Principal, Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya, Mr. Naiyyaruz Zaman, Chairman, Board of Islamic Education, Bihar and Dr. M. B. Zaman, Director, Board of Islamic Education.
