Agra : Describing company secretaries as innovative cross-functional professionals, Uttar Pradesh Governor B.L. Joshi Thursday emphasised the continued need for transparency, disclosure and eithics.
He was inaugurating the three-day national convention of the Institute of Company Secretaries here Thursday. More than a 1,000 company secretaries, managing directors, CEOs, directors, senior executives and professionals from India and several countries are attending the meet.
The delegates will deliberate and interact with industry leaders, academicians, senior civil servants and experts to explore ways and means to infuse dynamism and innovative professionalism in corporate management.
In his keynote address, Amit K. Sen, Managing Director, East India Pharmaceuticals Ltd., spoke about developing a right perspective and attitude to respond to dynamic business environment to become innovative professional.
ICSI President Anil Murarka said that the convention theme was relevant in the context of change, growth, competition and professionals were required to convert problems into resources, for which determination, willingness and devotion of time were essential.
BJP leader Arun Jaitley will be the chief guest at the valedictory session on Saturday.
