Lucknow: Eminent Muslim cleric Maulana Tauqir Raza Khan has condemned All India Ulema & Mashaikh Board (AIUMB) for its approach which he said is “leading to further division among Muslims.” AIUMB is holding a Muslim Maha Panchayat in Mordabad today. To create awareness and campaign against ‘Wahabi extremism’ in India is one of the purposes of the conference.
In an interview with TwoCircles.net, Maulana Tauqir Raza Khan of Bareilly said: “The AIUMB should keep itself as a social organisation. It is leading to further division among Muslims.”
He said that for the outer world we are just Muslims and we should pose it like that and internal differences can be settled at later stage.
“We should remember that for the outside world we are only Muslims and it does not differentiate when tortures are unleashed. We can settle the internal difference at a later stage and let us first pose as a Muslim only,” he said.
