New Delhi : Two days after the terror attack in the capital, the Delhi Police Friday formed three specialised teams to help crack the case.
“Three teams have been formed to work on different aspects of investigations,” Delhi Police Commissioner B.K. Gupta told reporters.
The special teams will consist of around 450 men, comprising crime branch and special cell wings of Delhi Police and will be led jointly by Deputy Commissioners of Police Ashok Chand and Arun Kampani.
Ashok Chand will interact with the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is leading the probe into the blast case, Gupta said.
Police personnel who were part of the Batla House gunfight with terrorists Sep 13, 2008 will also be part of the teams. The teams will directly report to the the commissioner, police said.
The Delhi High Court blast killed 13 people and injured over 90.
