Quake kills three, injures 46 in north Bengal

Kolkata/Siliguri: Three people were killed, at least 46 injured, and power supply was disrupted in parts of northern West Bengal as a powerful quake, epicentred in adjoining Sikkim, rocked the region Sunday evening. Many buildings developed cracks.

North Bengal Affairs Minister Gautam Deb said one death was reported from Siliguri and one in Jalpaiguri. The third was reported from Kalimpong, police said.
