Banglore : Global conglomerate General Electric (GE) has selected Pune in Maharashtra for setting up a $200 million (Rs.989.2 crore) integrated manufacturing facility, a top official said here Monday.
“Our 200 million dollar integrated manufacturing facility is coming up near Pune on a 60 acre plot for making products for the Indian market,” GE chief executive Jeffrey R. Immelt said here.
The high tech facility will create 2,000 jobs and focus on increasing localising of GE products for the domestic market.
