Consul General of India thanks Hajj volunteers

Jeddah: “Dedicated service of India Fraternity Forum during the Hajj has been quite exemplary. It benefited not only the pilgrims from India or Asia, but also many from different nations around the globe” said HE Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Consul General of India, Jeddah.

He was delivering an address on inauguration of a large get together of Haj volunteers of organized by India Fraternity Forum at the Consulate of India premises.

The map of Mina prepared by India Fraternity Forum upon the instruction of the Consul General, which has been very simple that provided correct and updated information about the pilgrim camps of all the countries in Mina. With the colour coded grid system the map was unique and many police and civil defence officers admired its simplicity in locating the destinations in Mina.

He also added that this year the Indian Haj mission was able to effectively coordinate the volunteer services of various community organizations which benefited all the pilgrims in Mina.

Helping the old and sick pilgrims to make use of the Mashaer train was a hard task and it was the sincere round the clock service of the Forum volunteers that helped the pilgrims to make it smooth and easy. Forum had engaged volunteers at all the stations and inside the train day and night.

The dedication of the forum volunteers was invaluable as they were seen in all the nook and corner in the valley of tents, Mina, said Mohammed Rahman Sheikh, the Haj Consul said.

Since most of the Indian pilgrims are above 65 years of age and they are out of their house for the first time in their lives, the service of the Forum volunteers was much beneficial, particularly in and around Haram before Haj and during the peak days of haj in Mina.

Forum President Ashraf Morayur presided over the function. He said that Forum added more volunteers this year, more than 1200 volunteers, in view of the requirement of volunteer at Mashaer train service. He added that if the consulate extends more support, the area of service could be expanded benefiting more pilgrims in the coming years.

Service of the Forum volunteers is model to the rest of the nations said Musthafa Khared, Supervisor, Youth Team of WAMY. Volunteer organizations from different countries has started after watching the service of Fraternity Forum. Arab countries have already engaged their volunteers this year in Mina.

Adv. KH Muneer also lauded the sincere services of the Forum volunteers and he added that they were the only organization who deployed volunteers all over Mina, Muzdalifa and Arafa.

Earlier this Event began with Qur’an recitation by brother sheikh Abdulla. Mr. Mohammed Noor Rahman sheikh (Deputy .Consul General & Hajj Consul), Dr. Abdul Vahab Norali(Formar Sec. General WAMY), Mr.Shafeequrahman Sharef ( Mg Dir. Alfazal Int’l school & Chairman Adv Board IFF Hajj service & Educationist), Eng. Hassan Jilaidan ( IT Service Manager, Saudi Airlines), Mr. Aboobacker Khared ( IT Manager, Tamer Group), Mr. Yameen Humeid ( Coord, Youth team WAMY), Mr. Mohammd Imran ( Marketing Manager, Al Abeer Medical Group) Mr. Syed Qadri Saleem ( Sec. IPWF, Jeddah), Eng. Abdul Wadood( Territory Manager, Edutech Arabia & Educationist) were present in the Dias.

Mr.Iqbal Chemban highlighted IFF activities to the gathering. Mr. Al Aman Ahmad welcomed the gathering & guests. Mr. Irfan gave Vote of thanks.
