New Delhi : The government has no plans to make parliament function for 100 days a year, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla said Thursday.
He was answering a question in the Rajya Sabha from member Bhalchandra Mungekar who lamented the “present deplorable functioning of parliament”.
Shukla said if the reduction in the number of parliament sittings due to recess period was taken into account, “the number of year-wise sittings of the two houses would be around 100 per year”.
