1,400 cadets join Afghan army

Kabul : A total of 1,400 cadets Saturday joined the Afghan army after completing their training, an army commander said.

They were commissioned in a ceremony at the Corps 209 Shahin Headquarters in northern Mazar-i-Sharif city, Xinhua reported.

The cadets received training under the US, NATO and Afghan trainers, General Zulmai Weesa, commander of Corps 209 Shahin, said.
