Sajjada Nasheen of Deewan Dargah Ajmer, Syed Zainul Abedin Ali Khan in a statement on Tuesday has objected renaming of Kanshiram Arbi and Farsi University after Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti University. He urged the government to keep great sufi saint from politics. He further said that if UP govt has faith and regards for Khwaja sahib and wants to name an educational institution after him, then they should establish a new institution after his name. The govt should abstain from dragging the saint in politics by changing name of an institution.

Sajjada Nasheen Syed Zainul Abedin Ali Khan said UP govt should set up new institution after him. Dargah is the cenre of communal harmony and unity, this change of name will create rift between communities of two religions which can pose dangers to social integrity.

He said Khawja sahib has been undermined by change of name. He was a great spiritual leader, he should not be equated with any political personality. He apprehended that if any political group or community objects this change, the name of Khwaja will be dragged in the dispute, which will not be good from any angle, because Khwaja sahib was a symbol of communal harmony and peace.
