Sunni Ulema Mashaikh Board urged financial help for Pratapgarh victims

Lucknow: All India Jamate-e-Raza-e-Mustufa has urged All India Sunni Ulema Mashaikh Board to provide financial help to the riot victims of Pratapgarh. According to the Jamat, whose members visited Madarsa Barai in district Pratapgarh on 28th June, 135 Sunni Barelvi Muslims whose houses were looted and destroyed during the riot last month are staying at the madrasa. So far the state Government has not provided any food, clothes or any financial help to them, the group said.

The Jamat has urged the Board to provide financial aid immediately before starting the month of Ramazan. Minimum Rs 5 lakh to each victim family for repairing and construction of their homes has been demanded.

The Board also urged to put up this case before Chairman of National Human Right Commission.
