Dubai : A total of 3,295 officers of Dubai Police have been promoted.
The decision to promote the officers was taken by UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Brigadier Pilot Ahmad Mohammad Bin Thani, director-general of Dubai Police’s General Department of Airport Security, and Brigadier Talal Humaid Abdullah Balhol, deputy director general of State Security were both promoted to the rank of Major General.
Dubai Police chief Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim said Colonel Khaled Ali Ghanim Al-Marri has been promoted to the rank of brigadier, and 10 lieutenant colonels to the rank of colonel, 70 majors to lieutenant colonels, 46 captains to major generals, 80 first lieutenants to captains, and 113 lieutenants to first lieutenants.
As many as 44 staff warrant officers were promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
