32,000 pilgrims perform Amarnath Yatra in three days

Srinagar : About 32,000 pilgrims have so far performed the Amarnath Yatra that started here Monday while four pilgrims died of natural causes during this period.

A senior Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) official said 32,000 pilgrims had had a glimpse of the ice lingam inside the cave shrine located at an altitude of 13,000-foot in the Himalayan range.

He also said four pilgrims died of natural causes since Monday.

“Four yatris died at different locations en route to the holy cave. These include two females and two males, who died while moving towards the shrine. The bodies have been handed over to police station Sonamarg for completing legal formalities,” he said.
