Islamabad : A woman was shot dead in Pakistan’s Sindh province after a tribal assembly ordered her killing for dishonouring the tribe’s name.
The incident took place in Shikarpur, Geo News reported.
A local jirga (tribal assembly) declared her and an other woman “Kari” by the jirga in Dur Muhammad Shar village. Later, one of them was shot dead, according to the report.
Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan has suspended deputy superentedant of police (DSP) and station house officer (SHO) of the area.
