New Delhi : There are no plans for raising new women’s battalions or reserve battalions in the central armed police forces (CAPFs), parlaiment was informed Tuesday.
“At present, there is no proposal for setting-up any women battalion/reserve battalion in the CAPFs apart from ones already sanctioned,” Minister of State for Home Jitendra Singh Tuesday said (CAPF) in a written reply.
Singh said that one women’s battalion in the Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF) was sanctioned in 2009 and was stationed in Kolkata.
