Brussels : Two arts students in Germany have triggered online outrage by seeking, in a poll, from people whether or not a sheep should be beheaded as part of their project work.
The sheep is faced with a homemade guillotine, or the device used for carrying out executions by decapitation in a performance art project set up by Rouven Materne, 24, and Iman Rezai, 31. The clip repeatedly shows the heavy blade crashing down, The Sun reported.
Police are now investigating in eight separate lawsuits against the duo, who study at the University of the Arts in Berlin, Germany.
Over 3.9 million people have already voted — with about 57 percent in favour of saving the sheep and 43 percent wanting it dead.
On a Facebook page set up by the artists, users are railing against their idea.
