UAE officials hold talks with world leaders

Abu Dhabi : Officials from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have held talks with their counterparts from China, Britain, Finland, Malaysia, Sudan, Kazakhstan and Turkey on issues of common concern.

The UAE’s National Security Adviser Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan met his British counterpart Nigel Kim Darroch in Abu Dhabi and spoke on enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries. British Ambassador to UAE Dominic Jermey also attended the meeting.

Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi met the new Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Huang Jiemin, who made a courtesy call at the beginning of his diplomatic mission.

In Astana, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan separately met his counterparts Yerzhan Kazykhanov of Kazakhstan and Ahmet Davutoglu of Turkey.

In Abu Dhabi, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organisations Affairs Saeed Mohammed Al-Shamsi met Finnish ambassador Ilkka Pekka Salmela, where the minister hailed the strategic partnership with Finland and its role in empowering women.

Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Khalid Al-Ghaith met Malaysian ambassador Ahmed Anwar Bin Adnan and discussed economic relations, especially in the agricultural sector.

In Sudanese capital Khartoum, the UAE’s ambassador Hassan Ahmed Al Shehhi met Sudanese Minister of Foreign Trade Othman Omar Al-Sharif.
